Anti-conventional approach to caravan concept
The firm’s history starts in 1977 when the owners (coming from a strong matured experience of the mobile field) decided to collaborate with an important caravan producer building furniture. After a few years, fond of the recreational sector, decided to set up a van-fitting business for various types. The enterprise and ingeniuty quickly made the owners think about an extremely robust bodywork , so well insulated guaranteeing a high standard of security during trips and a safe utilization of the vehicle even during winter periods. In 1982 the project of the first "MONOCOQUE CABIN" was born.
The owners can to all effects say they invented the semi-integral monocoque cabin with bodywork in fibre-glass, which today still represents the IDEAL ANSWER TO THE CONTINUOUS NEEDS FOR SECURITY.The robustness and at the same time the flexibility of the monocoque guarantees high protection for driver & passenger. Moreover, such structure eliminates problems regarding water infiltration & heat loss, assures excellent installation of the cabin making the semi-integral particularly appropriate for winter camping.
The first semi-integral of the “Oasi” series based on Fiat Ducato was presented for the first at the 1983 show in Turin. After meeting the designer Bruno Giardino the story of the Wingamm semi-integral made a decisive change : creativity & competence give new reference to the design. Since the firm’s idea to affront each new project is that of obtaining compromises among engaging aerodynamic lines of the monocoque and a comfortable living area.
